Close Proximity Blasting
Our experience in close proximity blasting allow us to safely blast beside dwellings, close to roads and highways and under live power lines. Our large blasting plates and heavy rubber mats contain the explosion to provide a safe and environmentaly friendly blast site.

Large Scale Blasting

Recent Works

Underground Power Trench, Hadspen
Over a two week period we fired 14 shots for Bilfinger Berger in the underground power trench beside the Bass Highway, Hadspen. The rock was solid bluestone and the majority of the shots were within 15 meters of the highway.

Building Foundations, Zeehan
Two major blasts over a two week period at the Allegiance Mine to remove solid rock for a building site of 30x60 meters. This work was carried out in very close vicinity to construction and machinery yards. The highest safety procedures were enforced and the blasts safely removed the required rock over and above the client’s expectations.

Highway Upgrades, Ulverstone
Over a two month period we fired all major shots for the highway upgrade.
We were involved with drill pattern design, supplying and loading the explosives, ensuring a safe blast area and firing the shots. Blasting sites came withing 2 and 10 meters of the existing highway.
